Bridges! So many bridges!
You see – I have a fear of bridges. And the higher they are, the more terrifying they are. Especially when the wind is blowing.
And there are FIVE HUGE BRIDGES between Rochester, New York and Toronto.
What does that mean? That means that every time I visit Toronto, I have to face down my fears, put on my big girl panties, and drive over them. And I do it. Sometimes I call a friend to talk to me while I drive them. Sometimes I sing at the top of my lungs. Sometimes I close my eyes. (OK, not really. Can you imagine?)
But every year I make the trek to be part of WordCamp Toronto – sometimes as an attendee, and sometimes I’m lucky to be selected as a speaker. Each time I learn more from other WordPressers, and each time I make new friends and deeper connections.
And hopefully I help others with their WordPress journey, and spread a little WordPress friendship along the way.
My slides from WCTO are below. As mentioned in my talk, the first five commenters (with a good/interesting comment) on this post will receive a copy of my new book, A Good Firm Handshake (and other essential business tips). I look forward to your feedback.
As always, if I can be helpful – let me know!
